Welcome to High Protein Snacks HQ! Many high protein snacks are probably ones that you may not have even considered. While most of us are aware of protein-loaded foods like chicken, fish and dairy products you might not be aware of other foods that are also high in protein and that's what we'll talk about on this site.

Over the course of a day, there are many ways to get protein into your system beyond the ones that people normally associate with being high in protein such as chicken, fish, milk, cheese, and eggs. Many nuts are great protein sources as is turkey, pork and beef.

And if you're a vegetarian you undoubtedly already know about tofu and cooking with it alongside (or in place of) meat. If you haven't tried tofu, ignore the jokes you've heard and give it a try because it tastes great when cooked in a dish. Of course if you still don't find cooking with tofu appealing you might be surprised to know that you can also buy flavored tofu which can double as a snack or healthy dessert similar to the way yogurt does which of course is another great tasting protein source.

Of course you can also spend a bit more money and buy protein shakes if you'd rather spend less time preparing food and more time consuming it albeit in the form of a drink!

Ultimately, the more high protein snacks you're aware of the more likely you'll be able to get your required daily intake of protein since you'll have more choices at your disposal and more variety when eating. Plus you'll quickly incorporate many new foods into your diet that not only taste good but are good for you too.

When it comes to eating protein though, it's best to space out your intake over the day as your body can only proccess such much protein at one time. Divide up your protein consumption throughout each meal so that it's used as efficiently as possible and not wasted when your body is given too much of it at one time.
